What Is a Super Parlay Bet

A super parlay (sometimes called a mega parlay or monster parlay) is typically a parlay with 6 or more legs, targeting high payouts with a small initial stake.

The Allure

A $10 bet on a 10-team parlay at -110 on each leg can pay out $5,000-$15,000. The huge payout on a small stake is the draw for recreational bettors.

The Math

Each leg at -110 is ~52.4% to win. 10 legs:

  • 0.524^10 = 0.18% chance of all 10 winning
  • Fair payout: $10 × (1/0.0018) = ~$5,500
  • Typical book payout: $4,000-$5,000

The house edge on a 10-team parlay can be 20-35%.

When They're Not Terrible

  • If all 10 legs are positive EV bets, a parlay on them is also positive EV (though high variance)
  • Using strong positive-odds (+120, +150) legs increases the true parlay value

The Honest Assessment

Super parlays are entertainment products. The variance is so high that tracking your long-term ROI on them is nearly meaningless. Most recreational bettors are net negative on parlays but enjoy the experience.

If you play them, set a fixed entertainment budget and don't chase.
